This Sunday, on what is traditionally observed as the twelfth day of Christmas, we celebrate the visit of the magi to the Christ child at His birthplace in Bethlehem. Besides the scripture narrative in Matthew 2:1-12 that tells this momentous story, we will look at other scriptures that celebrate the light of God in our lives. As we continue our study of Isaiah, we will look at Isaiah 60:1-7, in which the prophet announces, "Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."
Also in this Sunday's worship is scripture from John's first letter, Chapter 2, verses 8-11, which instructs the members of the Christian community how to remain in the light of Christ. Come join us this Sunday as we continue to follow the light of Christ in our lives.
