As January moves along, we begin to prepare for Lent, which begins with Ash Wednesday on February 10. It does seem early, but it's the way of the Lectionary and how the secular calendar interacts with it in this year C of the rotation. 2016 has several early holidays, both religious and secular. We take this time to make arrangements for Lent and the Eastertide that follows. We will publish a full calendar on the website soon, but for now, please join us for our Ash Wednesday Service. This solemn occasion is one in which we recognize our need for God in special ways that prepare us to walk with Jesus on the road to Calvary - and beyond. See the following notice and plan to join us for this special service, during which we will remember the past year and reflect on its meaning for us spiritually and in other ways. Our sorrows, mistakes, and those things we need to give over to the Lord will be offered to God in prayer, and as we recognize our deep need for God, we leave the sanctuary uplifted and aware of our humanity and our hope in Christ.
